Yes. Free parking is available close to the building at our Claycomo clinic. You do not need to plan for paid parking or a separate off-site lot before your appointment. When you schedule, our team can also answer questions about arriving at the office or finding our vein clinic in North KC.
You can. If you have been diagnosed with or treated for vein disease before, a new patient appointment is usually the better starting point. Depending on your visit, it may include a comprehensive ultrasound, provider review, and discussion of your findings and treatment options.

An ultrasound tech primarily performs the about 15-minute scan to check the superficial vein system for reflux, which means blood may be flowing the wrong way. We do not bill insurance for this screening.
A positive quick scan means the screening found reflux, but it does not determine whether you need treatment. That’s when we’ll recommend a new patient appointment for a more detailed evaluation. At that consultation, your provider reviews your imaging and symptoms before discussing whether treatment is appropriate and which options may fit your needs.
At Summit Vein Care, we focus on medical vein disease rather than cosmetic spider vein removal. If visible veins may connect to an underlying medical concern, our team can evaluate the medical side first. Cosmetic spider vein treatment belongs to our sister practice, Roots of Nature, rather than our vein clinic in North KC.
Treatment timelines vary based on your ultrasound findings, the number of veins that need care, and insurance requirements. Many of our patients are in treatment for about 6 to 9 months, although individual plans differ. Your provider discusses the expected treatment sequence and timeline as your care plan takes shape.
